Frequently Asked Questions
How much does this program cost?
The cost of a license for a single organization is $139.
I would like to purchase a license, but would prefer to pay by check. Is that possible?
Yes. To pay by check, simply send your payment and a letter indicating your wish to purchase a license to My Risk Management Plan to:
- Nonprofit Risk Management Center
- 15 N. King Street, Suite 203
- Leesburg, VA 20176
On the day we receive your payment we will register you as a paid user of the program. We will notify you by telephone and email that your account is ready for use. If you require an invoice, call Dianne Dunleavy at (202) 785-3891 with your details.
What is the purpose of this program?
This program is designed to assist you in creating a risk management plan for your nonprofit.
I don't have the time to finish my plan. If I exit will everything I've done so far be lost?
No! The program saves your work as you proceed through the modules. Return at any time to pick up where you left off.
I need help completing our Risk Management Plan. How can I involve others?
Simply share your login information with colleagues who you want to assist. Direct them to the modules you want them to work on.
I work with many nonprofits as a broker (or consulant or advisor). Can I purchase a single license and share the program with all of my clients?
No. Each license is for one organization. If you are interested in purchasing a block of licenses for your clients, insureds or affiliates, call (202) 785-3891 to discuss the availability of a discount. Discounts begin at 10+ licenses.
I've completed the modules and I'm ready to generate my plan. How do I save the plan on my hard drive or network?
After clicking "Create My Plan" your Risk Mangement Plan will appear on screen as an RTF (rich text format) file. Once you see the RFT file, choose "SAVE AS" from the FILE menu and save the file on your computer or network hard drive as a Microsoft Word file. Remember to give your plan an easy to remember name, such as "Risk Management Plan September 2007."
I like the language in the templates, but would like to modify it somewhat. What is the best way to do that?
Choose the template language that best meets your needs. Once you generate your Risk Management Plan, save the plan using your word processing software. Then open you plan and review it carefully to make any necessary changes in the plan text. Keep in mind that these changes will be saved in the document, but won't be saved in the program's database or reflected if you choose to return to the program and generate a new plan.
